Recently, members of the Melbourne Photobook Collective participated in ‘Reading Photobooks’ a lively event at the Centre for Contemporary Photography. The workshop was part of the PHOTO 2021 Photobook Weekend.
Suzanne Phoenix, Stuart Murdoch and I were joined by Bella Capezio, Clare Rae, Daniel Boetker-Smith, Gareth Syvret and Kristian Haggblom. We each brought a few of our favourite photobooks to share with other participants in small groups. One of the participants observed that it was like speed-dating with photobooks.
